UMYF for youth: We concentrate on building a community of faithful teenagers (7th through 12th grade) committed to one another as friends and followers of Christ.  Each meeting is intended to spark discussion, create new ideas, provide a safe space to explore faith, and nurture friendships. Our topics are relevant to the age of the group and are based on scripture. 

 

Our UMYF youth group meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the church. We eat dinner and then have Bible study and recreation time.  The summer break is during July and August.

Our youth groups also participate in fun events such as beach days, rock climbing, miniature golf, lock-ins, and fund-raisers. Our youth are in service to others both at our church and in local community service projects. These service projects are an important mission to our youth as they reach out to help others. Watch the Sunday bulletins and the monthly newsletters for information about special events.

In the Spring, some of our youth attend confirmation classes to learn and share more about their faith as they prepare to become full members of the church.   Any youth, 6th grade or older, who has not already been confirmed may be a part of this process.
