Large front window: The dove represents the Holy
Spirit of Pentecost and the dove at Jesus' baptism; the grapes and cup
represent the wine for communion; three bunches of grapes represent the
Trinity. The wheat and loaf, bread for communion, are symbols for
missions and spreading the word as in casting the seeds; the grapevine is
a reference to Jesus' statement, "I am the vine, you are the
branches;" the shell is a symbol of baptism and the water in it
signifies new life; the rose is the Rose of Sharon blooming in the desert,
a sign of the second coming of the Messiah; Jesus and the disciples are on
the road to Emmaus; the fish is an early symbol of Christ; Jonah and
whale; the red outline of the cross and anchor symbolizes the red blood of
Jesus.
