Purpose: The organized unit of
United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God; to experience
freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive
fellowship; and to expand the concept of missions through participation in
the global ministries of the church.
Missions are the focus of RUMW.
Local missions have aided Little People's Learning Center, In
His Steps, Adopt-A-Family at Christmas, Easter baskets for Head Start,
prayer blankets and quilts for individuals in need, and Habitat for
Humanity. National missions of support include the David &
Margaret Home in Arcadia, California and aid for hurricane
victims. Worldwide missions are funded by "Fellowship of the
Least Coin", World Thank Offering, and individual member
pledges. All funds received from sales of cookbooks, crafts, and
baked goods aid our ability to reach out to others in need. WE ARE
MISSIONS!
